Mukono – The Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, has today added another feather to his academic cap after graduating with a Master of Arts in Organisational Leadership and Management from Uganda Christian University (UCU).
Ssenyonyi, who was accompanied by his wife Febress Ssenyonyi and his mother, was among the 1,524 students who were awarded degrees and diplomas during UCU’s 26th graduation ceremony held at the university’s main campus in Mukono.

In a statement shared on his official social media platforms, the Nakawa West MP expressed gratitude to God for the achievement.
“Thanking God for yet another academic qualification attained today,” he wrote. “My thesis was titled ‘Perspectives on Corruption, and Addressing Its Effect on Service Delivery: The Case of Banda Parish in Nakawa West Constituency.’”

The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba, who serves as the university’s Chancellor. In his congratulatory message, the Archbishop praised graduates and their families for their perseverance and support.
“We gather to celebrate the goodness of the Lord. To our graduates—this is just the beginning. Lifelong learning awaits,” he said.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, who was represented by Prof. John Kitayimbwa, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, announced that of the 1,524 graduates, 860 were female (56%) and 664 were male (44%).
