Bombo — As part of its ongoing commitment to community well-being and prosperity, PostBank Uganda has celebrated the upcoming Eid Al-Adha by donating cows and goats to major mosques in regions where the bank operates.

The gesture, aimed at spreading joy and solidarity, benefited Muslim communities in Arua, Mbale, Bombo, and Fort Portal, among others.

The donations, which align with the traditional Eid Al-Adha practice of animal sacrifice and sharing, were delivered through the bank’s regional branches. The slaughtered animals will help ensure that more families, including those most in need, can partake in the joyous celebrations.

Speaking during the donation event in Bombo, Martin Lukyamuzi, PostBank’s Regional Head of Distribution for Greater Kampala, emphasised the bank’s role in not only providing accessible financial services but also uplifting communities through impactful social support.

“As we approach Eid Al-Adha, PostBank Uganda is honoured to stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters. This donation reflects our belief in community solidarity and our broader mission to foster prosperity for all Ugandans,” Lukyamuzi said.

He extended gratitude to the leadership of Bombo Mosque for their continued role in guiding the community spiritually and morally.

Receiving the donation, Mufti Muhammad Kadala, representing Masjid Swaleh in Bombo, thanked PostBank for its timely and generous support.

“We are truly grateful to PostBank Uganda for thinking of us during this sacred time. These animals will allow many families to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with dignity and joy,” he noted.

PostBank’s initiative is part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) strategy, guided by principles of scale, impact, and sustainability. The bank’s community outreach is anchored in five pillars: Health, Education, Social Enterprise Development, Humanitarian Support, and Financial Literacy.

“We extend our warmest Eid Al-Adha wishes to the Muslim community in Bombo and across Uganda,” Lukyamuzi concluded. “Our commitment remains—to support growth and prosperity at every level of society.”

Through initiatives like this, PostBank Uganda continues to demonstrate that its purpose goes beyond banking—it is about building resilient communities and empowering lives.
