Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributors of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Uganda, has honoured 30 more drivers during the sixth week of its ongoing Omunene W’ekkubo campaign.

The latest activation, held at Shell Banda, saw drivers walk away with fuel worth UGX 200,000, Shell Gas, and premium Shell Rimula lubricants.

Now at its halfway point, the three-month campaign continues to recognise Uganda’s taxi, truck, and bus drivers who rely on Shell FuelSave Diesel to power their journeys safely and efficiently. Week by week, their dedication is rewarded.

In addition to this week’s 30 main winners, 10 drivers received 6kg Shell Gas cylinders, while another 10 were awarded 10-litre packs of Shell Rimula demonstrating the campaign’s commitment to value beyond the pump.

“Drivers keep Uganda connected, not just through transport, but through trade, families, and communities. At Vivo Energy, we don’t take that for granted. This campaign is our way of recognising their everyday impact, and giving something meaningful back,” said Mark Mutungi, Brand Manager – Fuels, Vivo Energy Uganda.

The campaign spans all four regions of Uganda: Central, Eastern, Northern and Western, ensuring drivers from across the country can take part.

Weekly and instant prizes include fuel vouchers, airtime, Shell Gas, lubricants, and branded merchandise.

Two lucky winners will drive away in brand new Toyota Hiace Drone vans at the grand draw.

Joanita Menya Mukasa, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda, reaffirmed the company’s deeper investment in the sector.

“Drivers are at the heart of our economy. Through this campaign and our work with the Uganda Taxi Operators Federation, we’re combining practical support with long-term impact from safer roads and better infrastructure to health outreach and skills development.”

Beyond the prizes, Omunene W’ekkubo carries a strong social impact agenda; Road safety education, defensive driving courses, and fuel efficiency sessions are being delivered alongside health-focused initiatives including wellness camps, blood donation drives, and infrastructure enhancements such as improved lighting at taxi parks.
