Among the key issues discussed were plans to construct a modern stadium in Fort Portal and to upgrade the existing aerodrome into a fully operational airport. These projects are expected to significantly boost tourism, create jobs, and drive economic growth in the region.

President Museveni also addressed longstanding land issues within the kingdom, reiterating the government’s commitment to finding a mutually beneficial solution that ensures peaceful coexistence between the local government and the cultural institution.

A landmark agreement regarding the return of titles to kingdom properties will be pursued following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the government and the kingdom.
