The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) will Thursday, May 15, 2025, officially release the findings of the 8th Uganda National Household Survey (UNHS) 2023/2024.

Conducted between March 2023 and February 2024, the survey provides critical insights into the socio-economic conditions of households across the country, including up-to-date national poverty estimates.

Dr. Chris N. Mukiza, Executive Director and Chief Statistician of UBOS, confirmed that analysis of the extensive data collected has been finalized, and the bureau is now set to disseminate the report.

The launch event will be held at Hotel Africana in Kampala, starting at 10:00 AM.

The UNHS is a key statistical tool for government, researchers, and development partners. It offers a comprehensive overview of living conditions in Uganda, capturing data on household income, education, health, housing, and access to essential services.

The 2023/2024 report is expected to play a central role in informing policy decisions and shaping national development priorities.

UBOS extended its appreciation to the general public—especially survey respondents—and all stakeholders for their cooperation and continued support throughout the data collection and analysis process.

The release of the UNHS 2023/2024 report is anticipated to provide data-driven direction for Uganda’s planning and development strategies.
