Vivo Energy Uganda, the company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has rewarded 30 drivers in the fifth week of its ongoing ‘Omunene W’ekkubo’ campaign.

Held at the New Taxi Park, the activation saw winners receive fuel worth UGX 200,000, Shell lubricants, and Shell Gas.

Running for three months, the campaign celebrates and supports Uganda’s hardworking drivers who rely on Shell FuelSave Diesel to power their daily operations.

Each week, drivers stand a chance to win exciting prizes simply by fueling up at participating Shell service stations.

In addition to the 30 winners recognized this week, 10 drivers received 6kg Shell Gas cylinders, while another 10 were awarded 10-litre packs of Shell Rimula lubricants, further highlighting the variety of prizes up for grabs each week.

The ‘Omunene W’ekkubo’ campaign still has seven weeks to go, giving even more motorists the chance to win instant rewards such as airtime and fuel, weekly prizes including Shell Gas and Rimula lubricants, and the ultimate grand draw rewards – two Toyota Hiace drone vans.

“This campaign is our way of saying thank you to our partners on the road – our customers,” said Mark Mutungi, Brand Manager, Fuels at Vivo Energy Uganda.

“Your loyalty keeps our business moving, and Shell FuelSave Diesel is here to power your journeys efficiently, helping you save and grow your operations.”

In addition to grand prizes, customers receive instant rewards like airtime, fuel vouchers, and branded merchandise.

Joanita Menya Mukasa, Managing Director at Vivo Energy Uganda, emphasized the company’s continued investment in the transport community:

“We’re truly grateful for the support we receive from Uganda’s drivers. Through this campaign and our partnership with the Uganda Taxi Operators Federation, we aim to not only reward your loyalty but also support your long-term success with tools and knowledge that make a real difference on the road.”

Beyond giveaways, the campaign carries a strong community impact focus. It includes educational sessions on fuel quality, defensive driving, and fuel efficiency, as well as community health camps, blood donation drives, and improved lighting and visibility at selected taxi parks.

To enter the weekly draw, drivers simply need to purchase Shell FuelSave Diesel worth UGX 50,000 or more at any participating Shell station.
