The showroom which was opened on December 23, will feature products from the Liao Shen Industrial Park (LSIP) in Namunkekera, Kapeeka, making high-quality goods more accessible to clients and stakeholders in Northern Uganda and beyond.

Speaking at the launch, Gen Saleh emphasized the role that such initiatives play in transforming Uganda’s economy.

“Our goal is to ensure that Uganda becomes a hub for the production of high-quality goods, not just for our domestic market but also for export,” he stated, adding that “the showroom is more than just a display centre—it is a strategic move to empower local industries and provide them with the platform they need to grow and thrive”.

According to Gen Saleh, the showroom will enable members of the public, traders and potential investors to view and purchase products made in Uganda, thus encouraging both consumption and investment within the country.

By providing a direct link between manufacturers and the public, the showroom is expected to contribute to the growth of local businesses, create jobs, and support the development of Uganda’s value-added industries.

Legendary Musician Tempra Omona and WALK Creatives Arts Foundation showcased and extraordinary performance during the grand opening of the Made in Africa Uganda (MIAU) Centre Showroom.

WALK, an acronym for West Nile, Acholi, Lango, and Karamoja, captivated the audience with their dynamic showcase of Northern Uganda’s rich cultural heritage.

Their artistic expression beautifully complemented and added a vibrant touch to the occasion, emphasizing unity, creativity, and the shared aspirations of the region.
