Kampala, Uganda – Bishop Andrew Lugoloobi, IRCU Board Member and Secretary General of the Born Again Faith in Uganda, delivered a powerful keynote address at Al-Mustafa Islamic College’s interreligious dialogue event. Organized in collaboration with the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the gathering brought together diverse religious leaders, academicians, and researchers to promote peace and coexistence.

“We must come together to fight the vices that affect us all, regardless of our faith,” Bishop Lugoloobi emphasized. “Wars, hunger, diseases, and poverty know no religion. It’s our mission as faith leaders to unite and combat these evils.”

Bishop Lugoloobi commended the Cultural Consulate for supporting interreligious dialogue in Uganda and paid tribute to the late Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi. “We appreciate the efforts of the Iranian government in promoting interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence,” he said.

Ayatollah Seyyed Abdulfattah Navvab, Head of Hajj Affairs in Iran, emphasized the importance of dialogue in preventing misinformation and controversies. “The holy Quran teaches us to speak to people in the best way, using wisdom to form civilized communities,” he quoted.

Dr. Rouhollah Dehghani, Principal of Al-Mustafa Islamic College, recognized the contributions of the Interreligious Council of Uganda and the Cultural Consulate. “We’re grateful for your support in promoting peaceful coexistence among faith communities,” he said.
