A total of sixty nine officers of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) have completed a six months course at the Junior Command and Staff College (JCSC) in Jinja.
The officers were commissioned at a ceremony held on Friday.
Presiding over the function, the Deputy Commander Land Forces Maj Gen Sam Kavuma who represented the CDF congratulated the newly passed out officers and cautioned them against being selfish with the knowledge they acquired but to share it and put into practice what they have been taught.
The commandant JCSC, Brig James Kinalwa implored the officers to maintain discipline and commended their families for being supportive during the long period of the course.
“The tree that bears more fruits bends most,” said Brig Kinalwa.
He also appealed to graduates to always be patient but not to relax as they execute asignments yet to be given to them after the course. He wished everybody a happy Xmas and happy new year.
The function was attended by familly members of the graduands, UPDF senior officers and the civilians in Jinja.
