Eleven students have died while six others are nursing injuring following a fire outbreak at Salama School for the Blind.
Salama School for the Blind is located in Luga Village, Ntanzi parish, Ntejeru Kisoga Town Council in Mukono district.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police, said the fire broke out on Tuesday morning at about 1am.
“The cause of the fire is currently unknown but so far 11 deaths as a result of the fire have been confirmed while 6 are in critical conditions and admitted at Herona Hospital in Kisoga,” he noted.
He promised to provide more details as soon as possible.
