Zimbabwe Sables have won the 2024 Africa Rugby Cup.
“From the first whistle to the final try, they proved a force to be reckoned with!” said Uganda Rugby Union in a congratulatory message on X.
The Sables were declared Champions of Africa after beating Algeria 29-03.
Namibia, the defending champions, finished 3rd and took home a bronze medal.
Kenya Simbas finished 4th after falling short in the third place playoff to Namibia.
Uganda Rugby Cranes came in the 5th position after a hard-won 34-31 victory against Senegal.
The games were held at Nelson Mandela National Stadium aka Namboole in Kampala.
