Uganda Cranes Head Coach, Sredojevic ‘Micho’ Milutin has confirmed the team’s starting XI against Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars on Thursday evening in their third 2022 World Cup Qualifiers game.
The match which will be played at 7pm Ugandan time from Nyamirambo stadium in Kigali, will see Charles Lukwago start in goal.
Steven Mukwala who plies his trade in Uganda Revenue Authority in Uganda is on the frontline with Fahad Bayo .
Denis Iguma, Isaac Muleme, Enock Walusimbi and Timothy Awanyi start in a back four.
Team captain Khalid Aucho, Taddeo Lwanga, Bobosi Byaruhanga and Moses Waiswa are the four in the middle.
This is the first leg of the regional derby in next year’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers with the second leg to be played on October 10th in Kampala.
Uganda kicked off their campaign with a goalless draw in Kenya and another barren stalemate in their second outing in the group, at home to Mali, one of the strongest sides in Africa right now.
Mali are topping Group E on four points, just two ahead of Kenya and Uganda. Rwanda sits bottom with only a point.
