The 6th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCAs) were held Saturday night at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos in Nigeria.

Hosted by South African media personality, Minnie Dlamini and Big Brother Africa host IK Osakioduwa, the awards ceremony was a showcase of music, culture and fashion.

Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Bisola Aiyeola won the Trail Blazer Award on top of a brand new car. Singer Falz also bagged an Award for ‘Best supporting actor in the movie/TV series ‘New Money’.

AMVCA is an annual accolade presented by Multichoice (DSTV) recognizing outstanding achievement in television and film, voted on by the general public.

Entries into the award ceremony are films and TV series that have been aired on Dstv Channels in the previous year.

Nominees competed across 27 categories, seven of which were open for viewers to vote and choose the winners while 20 winners were decided by the AMVCA panel of judges.
