Vivo Energy Uganda has been recognized among the safest workplaces in the country at the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Awards. The company was awarded Best Workplace in Occupational Safety and Health in the Private Sector – Oil and Gas Category and named Second Runner-Up Overall among all workplaces in Uganda.

He added, “Vivo Energy Uganda’s commitment to workplace safety is embedded in its operations, with the company holding four ISO certifications, including ISO 45001:2018. The company’s HSSEQ Vision and Goal Zero promise aims to ensure no harm to people, assets, or the environment.”

She explained that Vivo Energy Uganda is integrating smart tools and digital solutions to enhance hazard prevention, response, and continuous improvement across its operations.
The awards were presented by Hon. Betty Amongi, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, at the national commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
