Speaking on behalf of Vivo Energy Uganda Managing Director Joanita Mukasa Menya, Geoffrey Elyanu, the company’s Head of Supply and Distribution, highlighted the importance of logistics in the success of large-scale sporting events:

“Logistics is often the unsung hero of major tournaments like this. Our job is to make sure that the engine of this tournament keeps running — efficiently and without interruption.”

Geoffrey Elyanu

Elyanu, who shared his personal passion for rugby, emphasized that the values of the sport — resilience, teamwork, and strategy — closely align with Vivo Energy’s mission. He reaffirmed the company’s readiness to deliver uninterrupted fuel and lubricant services to support 13 high-stakes matches throughout the tournament.

“We’ve built in redundancies, planned for contingencies, and mobilised our best people to ensure that fuel and lubricant availability is never in question,” Elyanu said.

In addition to transport logistics for teams, officials, and equipment, Vivo Energy Uganda will engage fans throughout the tournament. Shell-branded kiosks will be available at match venues, offering interactive experiences and chances to win exciting prizes through the “Predict & Win” campaign.

“Because a great tournament isn’t only about the players — but also the fans — we’ve made sure they’re part of the excitement too,” Elyanu added.

With all systems in place and staff mobilised, Vivo Energy Uganda says it is fully prepared to support the successful delivery of the Rugby Africa Cup, one of the continent’s premier rugby tournaments.
