The UHTTI leadership team, led by Principal Richard Kawere, warmly received the UTB delegation and provided a guided tour of the institute’s newly upgraded facilities.

During the visit, UHTTI management presented an overview of the institute’s mandate, strategic goals, and ongoing initiatives, including curriculum development, partnerships with regional and international institutions, student enrollment statistics, and graduate success stories.

The UTB team commended the quality and modern standards of the facilities, highlighting their importance in elevating Uganda’s human resource capacity in tourism and hospitality.

UTB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting institutions that contribute to the professionalism and competitiveness of Uganda’s tourism sector.

The two institutions discussed potential collaboration opportunities, including job placements for UHTTI students with hotels and tourism operators. The visit concluded with a mutual understanding of the importance of strengthening the relationship between UTB and UHTTI.

The UTB team also visited the Source of the Nile to assess the progress of ongoing works.
