The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) have rescued six people and recovered weapons from the Allied Democratic Forces rebel (ADF) group.
The success follows intensified operations in ongoing joint operations in the general areas of Mwalika Valley.
Also, one ADF rebel was put out of action.
The joint forces further recovered 204 rounds of PMK Machine gun, 41 rounds of Sub-Machine Gun and 03 empty magazines.
The joint forces under the command of Maj Chombe are still combing the Valley of Mwalika, North Kivu Province the Eastern DR Congo.
Arrangements have already been made to evacuate the rescued.
