The journey to Kalagala Falls feels less like a trip and more like a pilgrimage as the dust settles on the winding road leading to the venue.

The heartbeat for East Africa’s most electric music festival emerges as rhythm, art and creativity sync with the rushing waters of the Nile.

This year, the festival is louder and prouder than ever. As Nyege Nyege commemorates its groundbreaking 10-year journey, Uganda Waragi, the nation’s iconic spirit, marks its illustrious 60th anniversary.

This symbiotic celebration is no coincidence but speaks to a shared resilience, joy, and an unapologetically Ugandan spirit.

The new location at Kalagala Falls serves as a character in the story. The falls themselves seem to whisper an ancient welcome, their mist cooling the air charged with anticipation amidst the scenic attractions.

The site itself is breathing economic and cultural life into the Kayunga district. Local vendors are out in force, their smiles as warm as the sun that has shone all through so far.

Hillary Baguma, Brand Manager for Uganda Waragi spoke with a sense of pride saying, “There is a powerful symmetry this year. As Uganda Waragi turns 60, we stand here celebrating 10 years of the resilient, innovative, and endlessly vibrant Nyege Nyege Festival.

This festival is the spirit of Uganda.  We are proud to toast and celebrate this true heritage moment global cultural phenomenon .”

Security is visible, professional, and reassuringly tight, ensuring that the only thing flowing without restriction is the infectious energy and, of course, the drinks.

And at the heart of it all, the iconic Uganda Waragi stands are oases of connection.

The crisp, refreshing taste of the classic Premium Waragi and its flavoured variants are the liquid soundtracks to reunions and new friendships.

The crowd, a sea of vibrant patterns and glowing faces, moves as one. Uganda Waragi catalyzes celebration, a shared ritual in the near constant celebration of vibes as the communal bottles are passed between new and old friends.

The sound is a fusion of Amapiano, Gqom, Afrobeat, Tekno, and traditional Kadongo Kamu, and all that fuels your soul. It’s the sound of Uganda, unfiltered and unstoppable.
