“I am happy we are strengthening our relationship. Our relationship with FRELIMO dates as far back as 1967,” Museveni said.

Museveni thanked President Jacinto Nyusi, First Lady Dr. Isaura Nyusi, and the entire delegation from Mozambique for visiting Uganda.

He said the people of Mozambique have brothers and sisters in Uganda.

On Museveni’s invitation, President Nyusi yesterday toured the Liao Shen Industrial Parks in Kapeeka, Nakaseke District.

“This is in line with our bilateral talks held on Wednesday on trade, investment as well as labour and employment,” Museveni said.

He said the Liao Shen Industrial Parks are a great example of where development opportunities, business interests and government preferential policies converge to promote production.

“With more jobs created for the youth, Uganda’s social and economic transformation is ready to take off,” he added.

President Nyusi and his delegation flew back home later in the evening after concluding their three-day visit to Uganda.
