Uganda Investment Authority to Hold Inaugural Presidential Investors’ Conference

The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), in collaboration with the State House and Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, will, next week on Thursday, 29th November 2023, hold the inaugural Presidential Investor Conference.

“The Uganda Investment Authority will curate the Conference and provide all the information and support needed for boosting investment and doing business in Uganda,” UIA Chairman, Morrison Rwakakamba, told journalists in Kampala.

He sad this unique and one-of-a-kind investor conference will see Uganda’s Chief Investment Promoter, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, meet face-to-face with over 5,000 Investors from across Uganda, at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala.

The participating Investors, ranging from small to big, are drawn from the following priority sectors: Commercial Agriculture and Value Addition; Manufacturing, Services; and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

At the Conference, the President will not only interact directly with the Investors but also listen to them directly and discuss pertinent issues all aimed at boosting investment and doing business in Uganda.

According to Rwakakamba, the Conference will feature key associations like the Private Sector Foundation Uganda; the Uganda Manufacturers’ Association; the Uganda Small Scale Industries Association; the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises; and the ICT Association of Uganda.

“We call upon Investors to participate in the Presidential Investor Conference by registering at www.ugandainvest.go.ug/presidentialinvestorconference,” he noted.

He added: “The Presidential Investor Conference is expected to lead to a better environment for investment and business and strengthen Uganda’s position as the best investment destination in Africa.”
