KAMPALA — Uganda Athletics Federation has unveiled a newly elected executive committee tasked with steering the sport’s growth and governance in the coming years.
The new leadership is headed by Domenic Otucet, who assumes the presidency, with Beatrice Ayikoru appointed as General Secretary.
Other members of the executive include Faustino Kiwa as Treasurer, Kavuma Lawrence as Vice President for Administration, and Annet Kabasindi as Vice President for Technical matters.
The committee also features Okello Paul as Organising Secretary, Godwin Byamukama as Assistant General Secretary, and Namayo Mawerere as Publicity Secretary.
The election of the new executive committee comes at a time when Uganda continues to build its reputation as a powerhouse in middle- and long-distance running on the global stage. The federation is expected to focus on athlete development, strengthening grassroots programs, and improving administrative structures within the sport.
The incoming committee is expected to outline its strategic priorities in the coming weeks as it begins its tenure.
