The awards, which target at least 45 quality service providers, among them businesses and personalities, were given out on December 9, 2022, in the capital Juba.

The best airline company this year, Uganda Airlines, is the flag carrier of Uganda.

The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. The current carrier began flying in August 2019.

“We are proud to be the carrier of choice for the Victoria Pearls as they travel to Nairobi for the 4-nation T20 Series that will feature Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Qatar from Dec 13th-22nd,” Uganda Airlines said on Sunday.

The awards are an initiative of the South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (SSNCCIA), the umbrella body representing and advocating for the private sector in the Republic of South Sudan.
