UCC to Engage with Online Operators on Compliance

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has announced a stakeholder engagement with online data communication service providers, online televisions and radios, and online news agencies.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at Kampala Skyz Hotel, starting at 9:00 AM.

The announcement was made in an official invitation letter signed by Susan A. Wegoye, Ag—Executive Director of the UCC.

“The Commission encourages all stakeholders to attend this important event,” she noted.

She said the Commission is committed to monitoring operators’ compliance to ensure the provision of quality services and relevant content. The upcoming engagement aims to discuss compliance with the Uganda Communications Act, Cap 103, its regulations, and other relevant laws.  

According to the UCC, the meeting will also address compliance challenges and promote innovation, inclusion, and fair competition within the industry.
