The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has made adjustments to the parking fees or rates at Entebbe International Airport.
The revised car parking rates effective November 1, 2024, will see the first-hour charge for saloon cars and station wagons change to Shs5,000.
Vans and minibuses will be charged Shs8,000, while heavy vehicles like lorries, trailers, trucks, and buses will be charged Shs m10,000, for the first hour of parking.
The rate for each extra hour remains Shs1000 for all categories of vehicles (for the short-stay parking).
For long-term car parking, the first-day charge will be Shs 30,000, while additional days will remain at Shs 10,000 per day.
However, after 30 days of parking in the long-term car park, each subsequent day will be charged Shs200,000 as a deterrent. The ideally recommended period to park in the long-term car park is not more than thirty (30) days.
Vianney Luggya, Manager of Public Affairs at the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, said the changes are meant, “to enhance ongoing efforts for investment in upgrading facilities for a better passenger experience.”
