He said the 60,247 tablets handed over by UBOS will be distributed across various government agencies to enhance service delivery and support key programs.

Here’s how they will be allocated

The Electoral Commission will receive 36,000 tablets which will be dispatched to support the forthcoming elections, ensuring efficient and credible electoral processes.

The Local Governments will receive 23,897 tablets to be distributed as follows:  21,434 to each parish for PDM financial inclusion systems; 1,496 to Sub-County Community CDOs; 580 to Town Council CDOs; 25 to City Division CDOs; 181 to District IT Officers and 181 to Statisticians in LGs.

Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) will receive 350 tablets to support the monitoring of government wealth creation programs, ensuring better oversight and accountability.

“These tablets are a valuable resource for streamlining government operations and improving service delivery across the country,” stated Dr Mukiza.
