KAMPALA — The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has officially released its dissemination calendar for a series of high-profile statistical reports, covering critical sectors from public health to national poverty levels.
In a public statement issued on Friday, March 6, 2026, the Executive Director and Chief Statistician, Chris N. Mukiza (PhD), outlined a timeline spanning from mid-March to early May for the publication of eight key reports.
Key Highlights of the Release Calendar
The dissemination kicks off on March 12 with the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025. Other significant dates include:
- March 26: Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 5.
- April 16: Labour Market Survey Report 2025.
- April 23: National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025.
- May 7: Uganda Harmonised Indicator (UHIS) Survey Reports – Waves I, II, and III.
Evidence-Based Planning
Dr Mukiza emphasised that these reports are intended to serve as a cornerstone for national development. According to the statement, UBOS aims to provide “high quality official statistics for evidence-based planning, decision making and informed public debate”.
