According to Jenifer Kalule, a total of Ninety Seven thousand, eight hundred and ninety (97,890) candidates registered to sit the examination from 2,255 Examination Centres.

She noted that at this level, 58% (57,177) of the candidates are males, while 42% (40,713) are females.

She said Seventeen thousand, three hundred and nineteen (17,319) candidates are sponsored by the government under the Universal Post O’ Level Education and Training program (UPOLET) Eighty Thousand, five hundred and seventy-one (80,571) candidates are privately sponsored.

The UNEB spokesperson cautioned candidates against involvement in any acts of indiscipline.

“The fact that you are candidates does not absolve you from following school rules and regulations. UNEB will neither be involved nor sympathize with a candidate who will be subjected to disciplinary measures by the school,” he said.

On timekeeping, Kalule said this is very critical, warning that anyone who comes 15 minutes after the start of the examination will not be allowed to sit the paper.

“We encourage the candidates to be calm, and confident, follow the instructions and pray for divine intervention and guidance as they sit their examinations. We wish all candidates God’s blessings,” she said.
