Police at Katwe are investigating a fire outbreak that claimed the lives of two people.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy PRO KMP, said the incident happened Saturday morning at around 4am at Betania Zone, Ndeeba Parish in Rubaga Division, Kampala City.
He said the victims (husband and wife) were sleeping when a fire broke out at their wooden self-help house, killing them.
They have been identified as Musa and Nabunya alias Senga.
The fire was later extinguished and preliminary investigations indicate that the fire could have been caused by a charcoal stove that is suspected to have been left burning by the couple.
The two bodies were conveyed to the city mortuary Mulago for a post-mortem.
