Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary became the latest highlight of Uganda’s scenic tourism offering as a group of top Turkish influencers and tour operators paid a visit to witness white rhinos—one of Africa’s Big Five—in their natural habitat.
The visit is part of a 10-day #TourismExperience campaign led by Uganda’s Embassy in Ankara, following a successful trade show in Türkiye.

The initiative aims to deepen Uganda’s appeal as a must-visit destination by giving digital content creators and travel agents firsthand exposure to its diverse natural attractions.
Hosted by Ambassadors Nursura Tiperu and Fatik H. Ak, the group was officially welcomed at Munyonyo Speke Resort before embarking on an itinerary that includes Murchison Falls, gorilla trekking in Bwindi, and a boat tour along the Kazinga Channel.

At Ziwa, the influencers documented intimate moments with Uganda’s only wild rhino population, showcasing the country’s conservation efforts and the thrill of being close to the Big Five.
Their content is expected to reach millions of followers across Türkiye and beyond, boosting Uganda’s visibility in key emerging tourism markets.

The sanctuary now hosts 48 rhinos, with some set for relocation to Kidepo and Murchison Falls.
“An experience worth trying awaits you Zziwa Rhino & Wildlife Ranch, of being close to the big five,” said the Uganda Embassy Ankara on X.
