Following massive stops in Johannesburg and Nairobi, Uganda is next in line to experience the magic, and the excitement is at an all-time high.

But this night isn’t just about the music, it’s about celebrating Uganda’s own Joshua Baraka, the country’s sole nominee in the 2025 TRACE Music Awards.

The fast-rising star earned a nomination in the Best East African Artist category, putting him alongside some of the region’s biggest acts.

The Kampala tour stop will shine a well-deserved spotlight on his incredible journey, giving Ugandans the perfect moment to rally behind him as he represents 256 on the continental stage.

As the platinum sponsor of this year’s TRACE Music Awards, Johnnie Walker is elevating the experience with a night of bold flavours, immersive entertainment, and unforgettable moments.

Guests can expect a fusion of music and culture, meet-and-greet sessions with industry heavyweights, and an exclusive look into the creative force driving Africa’s music to global heights.

Speaking ahead of the event, Christine Kyokunda, the Johnnie Walker Brand Manager Uganda said, “All is set for an incredible night. As Johnnie Walker, we have pulled all the stops to celebrate Joshua Baraka for the bold steps he has taken towards achieving such enviable recognition. But beyond that, we also want to support and shine a light on the many incredible talents across the continent who are making waves in the industry.”

She added, “Expect exclusivity, fun, and unforgettable moments.” The three-hour event kicks off at exactly 6PM, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable night.

With invites already out, Kampala’s entertainment elite will gather to witness the magic, culminating in the grand awards ceremony in Zanzibar. The countdown to the TRACE Music Awards is on, this is Uganda’s moment to show up, support Joshua Baraka, and bring the award home!

The 2025 Trace Awards ceremony will be streamed live from Zanzibar, Tanzania, across different platforms come February 26th.
