A stellar line-up of Uganda’s leading Public Relations and Communications professionals has been confirmed to headline discussions at the 4th National Public Relations Symposium (NPRS25), scheduled for Friday, 25 July 2025, at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
Organised by the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), this year’s symposium runs under the theme “PR Leaders Who Made It To The Top”, aiming to inspire practitioners on how to move PR beyond its traditional support role into the boardroom, influencing leadership and governance decisions.
The conversations will be moderated by Stella-Marion Athieno, Managing Director of African Elite Group and Secretary General of PRAU. She will steer a distinguished panel of industry trailblazers who have successfully scaled the heights of leadership through the power of strategic communication.
The panellists include: Muhereza Kyamyutera, CEO of Uganda Tourism Association; Goretti Masadde, CEO of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services; and Dr. Patricia Litho, Assistant Commissioner, Communication & Information Management at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD).
The symposium is expected to deliver insightful thought leadership on repositioning PR as a critical lever in organisational leadership and corporate governance. Attendees will benefit from the lived experiences and career journeys of the panellists, who have broken through traditional barriers to establish communications as a key function at the executive level.
The symposium is proudly powered by partners and sponsors, including DFCU Bank, UMOC, ECMA, URSB, Vision Group, SoftPower News, Affinity, NRG Radio, CEO Magazine, PML Daily, Without Borders, Verse UBC, among others.
Expect robust conversations, practical insights, and invaluable networking as Uganda’s PR community charts the path forward for the profession’s future.
