“Kiiza Elizabeth was arrested from Ntungamo where she was constructing a house for the mother. She helped us track the other suspects,”Enanga said.

The police spokesperson said that using surveillance techniques, they were able to locate the other gang members including Edison Musinguzi , Wilson Kalyango, Sositin Kamuzu,Joseph Mperese, and Dan Muwoza, 45 .

“By the time of the arrest, there were two members of the gang who were in Kyambogo plus another three suspects to make it five. They were planning another robbery mission in the DRC. They had hired a vehicle and were to use it to cross into Congo,”Enanga said.

He said that several implements used to break into houses were recovered from the gang upon their arrest, noting that investigations to arrest more members are still ongoing but also to recover more exhibits.
