Stanbic Bank has launched the FlexiPay Cashback Explosion, a 90-day campaign aimed at rewarding customers and boosting the adoption of digital payments through its mobile platform, FlexiPay.

FlexiPay is an innovative mobile payments solution from Stanbic that allows users to make transactions without necessarily having a Stanbic Bank account. The campaign, unveiled over the weekend at Senana Supermarket in downtown Kampala, promises a series of interactive activities, instant rewards, and engaging events across the country.

Josephine Nakato, Manager Customer Experience at FlexiPay, described the campaign as a gesture of appreciation to users. “It is all about giving back to our customers and demonstrating the true value of going digital,” she said. “Through activation events at various locations nationwide, we’re making banking more accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for everyone.”

One of the key highlights of the campaign is a 10% instant cashback offer for FlexiPay users who spend UGX 50,000 or more on shopping or bill payments. The campaign will run for 90 days and aims to make everyday digital transactions more rewarding.

At the launch event, shoppers were treated to live demonstrations of the FlexiPay app, while two lucky users—Douglas Wakabi and Leticia Kyomuhendo—won the first One Minute Trolley Dash, an exciting shopping challenge that had them race to fill their trolleys with as many items as possible within 60 seconds.

“I never thought I’d win, but this campaign has put a big smile on my face. Now I have more reasons to use FlexiPay every day!” said Kyomuhendo.

Activation points for the campaign include petrol stations, restaurants, supermarkets, and boutiques, where users can enjoy cashback rewards and receive assistance in navigating FlexiPay’s full range of features, from paying school fees and utility bills to grocery shopping.

Jackie Abwol, Brand and Marketing Manager for FlexiPay, said the campaign underscores Stanbic’s push for innovation and financial inclusion. “This campaign exemplifies Stanbic’s ongoing commitment to financial innovation and inclusion, encouraging Ugandans to transition seamlessly into a cashless future with extra cashback in their pockets every step of the way,” she said.

Abwol also urged customers to stay updated through Stanbic Bank’s social media platforms for details on upcoming activation sites, campaign news, and surprise giveaways planned throughout the campaign.
