Muganwa joins the bank’s executive leadership team alongside Sam Mwogeza, Executive Director of Personal & Private Banking, and Mumba Kenneth Kalifungwa, Chief Executive, bringing the number of Executive Directors on the Board to three.

With close to 20 years of banking experience across Uganda and South Africa, Muganwa has played a pivotal role in driving the growth and performance of Stanbic Bank’s CIB business over the past three years. His strategic leadership has reinforced the bank’s position as a market leader in corporate and investment banking.

Board Chair Damoni Kitabire welcomed the appointment, noting, “Paul’s elevation reflects our commitment to strong leadership and deliberate succession planning. His extensive experience, outstanding performance, and forward-looking vision will continue to fuel the bank’s growth and sustain our leadership in the CIB space.”

Chief Executive Mumba Kenneth Kalifungwa added, “Paul’s appointment marks a significant step in our journey. His deep expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, and investment banking is instrumental to our mission of delivering innovative, client-centric solutions.”

This strategic appointment not only enhances the bank’s executive leadership but also underscores Stanbic Bank Uganda’s dedication to nurturing a robust pipeline of leadership talent for long-term growth and sustainability.
