During the press briefing on Tuesday at Serena Hotel, Naava Grey expressed gratitude to her fans and supporters for their unwavering dedication.

“I released my first single in 2011 at Fenon Records. This is my maiden concert, and I want to walk my journey with my fans for all the 14 years,” Naava shared.

She credited her family, mentors, and God for shaping her career, saying, “It’s been God’s hand from the very beginning, and I want to give Him all the glory.”

Journey of Resilience and Inspiration

Naava Grey reflected on her early days, from singing for her family at home to discovering her potential during her participation in Tusker Project Fame.

“It wasn’t until I joined Tusker Project Fame that I realized I could write and sing,” she said. She also recounted how her breakthrough hit, Nteredde, came to life through the mentorship of Fenon Records’ Steve Jean, despite initial doubts from industry insiders.

Star-Studded Support

Several prominent artists and sponsors expressed their excitement about the concert.

Kenneth Mugabi, a fellow artist, said, “Naava’s talent is unmatched. I can’t wait for this concert. It’s going to be a historic moment.”

Bruno K, another renowned singer, praised Naava as “one of the best lyricists and vocalists in Uganda,” adding, “We’ve waited for this moment for so long. If you’ve never seen Naava perform live, this is your chance.”

Mun G, a celebrated rapper, encouraged music lovers to attend, saying, “She’s the best female lyricist. If you know anything about music, you can’t miss this.”
