Ugandan media darling, brand influencer, and entertainment powerhouse Sheilah Gashumba is stepping into the global spotlight with the official launch of her new career chapter—as a Disc Jockey/deejay with the stage name DJ Lil Stunner.

With this development, Sheilah continues to redefine what it means to be a multifaceted entertainer. Now adding “DJ” to her dynamic résumé, she’s ready to conquer the decks and set dancefloors ablaze across Africa and beyond.

A familiar face and voice on TV, radio, and digital platforms since the age of 8, Sheilah has evolved into one of East Africa’s most influential entertainment figures. Sheilah started this journey during the COVID-19 lockdown when she used to hold one-on-one classes with DJ Ediwizzy Selekta.

In a surprise move, Sheilah sought training at RISE Academy in Johannesburg in 2024 — one of Africa’s premier DJ schools — while juggling her demanding work schedule. There, she sharpened her skills on equipment and digital software, transforming her lifelong passion for music into a professional craft.

Sheilah’s sound spans Amapiano, House, Afro-Soul fusion, and archetypal Ugandan rhythms, a genre-blending celebration of her heritage and international taste. Her sets promise to be nothing short of immersive, vibrant, and uniquely African.

With this leap, Sheilah joins the ranks of global African DJ icons like Uncle Waffles, Black Coffee, DJ Maphorisa, Naked DJ and DJ Zinhle who have transformed DJing into a global performance art, propelled African sounds to international stages, headlining festivals, concerts, and exclusive private events.

In the months ahead, Sheilah is gearing up for a pan-African and global debut, with promotional performances planned in Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, the United States, and Europe. Her team confirms that she is mentally ready to embark on an official media and club tour, with targeted appearances, pop-up sets, and interviews across major African and international media outlets.
