Sharz Borderless Study Consults has announced plans to host the first-ever “Study in Canada” virtual education fair, aimed at providing Ugandan students and parents with direct access to information on studying in Canada.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM (EAT) and will be held online.

The fair will feature representatives from leading Canadian institutions, including the University of Windsor, North York Academy, Georgian College, Alexander College, College of New Caledonia (CNC), University of Northern British Columbia, Capilano University, Seneca Polytechnic, Douglas College and Thompson Rivers University.

According to Ms. Lilian Nayebare, General Manager at Sharz Borderless Study Consults, the virtual fair aims to bridge the gap between Canadian institutions and Ugandan students, providing an accessible and cost-effective way for universities to engage with potential applicants.

“We’re leveraging our expertise in organizing physical education fairs to create an online platform where students and parents can interact directly with Canadian institutions. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore academic programs, admission requirements, and available scholarships,” Nayebare said.

Growing Demand for Virtual Events

Sharz Borderless Study Consults has previously hosted in-person career fairs, including a 2024 Career Fair that attracted over 800 students. However, with increased internet adoption in Uganda, the agency is now focusing on virtual events to provide students with greater flexibility and convenience.

“Students want more flexibility—not just in learning, but also in the process of applying for university. By organising both physical and virtual events, we are ensuring that students can access the information they need in a way that suits them best,” Nayebare added.

She said participation in the Study in Canada Virtual Fair is free, and interested students can register at: https://bit.ly/sharzconsultsCanadaFair.

Sharz Borderless Study Consults (Sharz Limited) is one of Uganda’s leading education placement agencies, with partnerships spanning schools, colleges, and universities worldwide.

The organisation specialises in helping students secure placements in international institutions, providing guidance on admissions, scholarships, and career opportunities.
