Mukalazi, 37, is said to have taken the victim from her relatives in guise of educating her.

But the girl told Police that her caretaker started seducing her and sexually exploiting since 2017.

“She said he would do it whenever his wife was away and whenever she complained, the caretaker would threaten to stop the funding,” a statement by Kampala Metropolitan Police say.

The girl was later impregnanted and his caretaker reportedly attempted to force her abort by administering tablets, which caused health problems.

Police say that when Hamisi feared that his wife could find out about the pregnancy, he took the victim back to her grandmother, who discovered the health problem and involved medics and Police.

“Unfortunately, the police surgeon examination revealed that the victim’s womb had been damaged,” Police said.

The young girl subsequently underwent an operation and her uterus was removed.

Police have advised parents and guardians to be careful with the people they  entrust their children with.
