Celebrated fashion designer, Santa Anzo is representing Uganda at the Africa Fashion Exchange 2018 (AFX 18) taking place in Durban, South Africa.
Anzo was invited by the KZN Fashion Council, the organizers of the three day event to showcase her work at the prestigious event.
The KZN Fashion Council will from September 27 to 29 host over 1000 fashion entrepreneurs (designers, crafters, manufacturers, fabric suppliers, students) , governments’ economic and business development departments (municipal, provincial and national levels).
AFX 18, will bring the spirit of African fashion, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to the world. The event will run under the theme ‘Africa by Design’.
“We are inviting you as the official representative of your country Uganda to showcase your collection at the Africa Fashion Exchange 2018 (AFX 18),” read a correspondence by the KZN Fashion Council to Santa Anzo.
The organizers said in a statement that “various knowledge-sharing, mentorship and magterclass sessions will exlpore themes intergrating the business of fashion with authenticity, arts, culture and heritage”.
Designer talent discovery and curated crafts exhibitions that open the gateway to the globally competitive lifestyle market will form a signficant part of the programme.
Throughout the course of the 3 day event fashion insiders, including buyers, retailers, and members of the press, celebrities, models, social media influencers and special guests will make their way through the Africa Fashion Exchange venue.

Santa Anzo is the Managing Director of Arapapa, Uganda’s premium Fashion brand. She is also founder and President of Uganda International Fashion Week.
She has over the years showcased her work in numerous cities across the world including New York. Her role in pioneering African fashion and modelling careers in Uganda has led her to speak to various prestigious forums.
