Sandor Walusimbi Officially Assumes Duty as Museveni’s Senior Press Secretary

Sandor Walusimbi has assumed office as President Museveni's Senior Press Secretary.

Sandor Walusimbi has Friday 5, officially assumed duties of the office of Senior Press Secretary to H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.

President Museveni this week appointed Sandor Walusimbi as the new senior press secretary.

Nabusayi who has served in the capacity for one year has today handed over to Walusimbi.

Sandor is a seasoned corporate communications and marketing consultant with experience that spans more than two decades.

Before his new appointment, he served as the head of communication at State House Anti corruption Unit.

Walusimbi previously served as the head of marketing and communications at Umeme Uganda Limited between 2016 and 2019.

He was the head of corporate relations at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) and Marketing Manager for East African Breweries Limited (EABL).

Having joined EABL in 1995 as a brand promoter, he was quickly promoted to brand manager, innovations and commercialization manager, senior brand manager and eventually marketing manager.

He has also previously served as the Airtel Uganda Public Relations Manager.

He is a member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU).

Sandor holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of East London.
