Rwanda Defense Force (RDF) have kicked off slow and queit deployment of small squads of its ‘Special Forces’ in the towns of Eastern DR Congo, impeccable sources on the region have told this news site.

“The Rwandan unit initially used to conduct raids across the Rwandan border from DR Congo and blame their own attacks on
FDLR-FOCA,  RUD-Urunana or RPR-Inkeragutabara,” the sources said adding that those were the usual “Rwandan psyops (psychological operations)”.

The RDF deployment comes high on heels of Uganda and DR Congo joint military efforts to flash the terror group -ADF that has for years terrorised Eastern DR Congo recruiting young children and dispatching terrorists into neighbouring Uganda.

“You will recall that more than a year ago, RDF Identity cards were found in ADF territories after our (FARDC) attack. You published this, so Rwanda’s backing of ADF and other elememts to undermine Uganda’s security is not new,” said a Congolese military source.

According to classified military information obtained by this website, Rwanda’s deployment at the border with DR Congo and in DR Congo territories is intended to pave way for bigger number of RDF troops with claims that they are pursuing their so-called “attackers’ said to be based in DR Congo.

“The initial focus will be in the Rutshuru territory, especially in Rumangabo, Masisi, Bunagana, and Nyamilima,” the classified report states.

“The next phase is to go further north into Lubero territory, especially Kanyabayonga, Lubero and Butembo and then cross into Beni territory,” the report adds.

“Once the deployed platoons reach Lubero and Beni territories, sources said that Rwandan Defence Force will plan to attack the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and take to media to blame ADF for the attacks.”
