Kawempe – Unilever Uganda, through its iconic nutritious seasoning brand Royco, has officially launched the ‘Share Goodness’ campaign at Masjid Mbogo Mosque in Kawempe.
This heartfelt initiative aims to enhance the Ramadan dining experience for Muslim communities across Uganda by promoting generosity, nourishment, and togetherness.
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Royco will serve Iftar meals at 25 mosques nationwide, fostering a spirit of unity and supporting families in breaking their fast with delicious and nutritious meals.
In addition to providing meals, the initiative will include donation drives and activations at select supermarkets, encouraging Ugandans to contribute towards supporting those in need.
Commitment to Generosity and Community Well-Being
Speaking at the launch event, Grace Nandawula, Head of Customer and Strategy Planning at Unilever Uganda, emphasised the importance of generosity during Ramadan and Royco’s dedication to enriching lives through nutrition and community engagement.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, devotion, and sharing. With the ‘Share Goodness’ campaign, Royco is honored to help turn everyday meals into memorable moments for families across Uganda,” she said.
“Royco plays a crucial role in enhancing meals by adding rich flavour, taste, and thickness. During the most important meals of the day—Suhur and Iftar—don’t forget to add Royco to every dish. Its unique blend of spices transforms ordinary meals into extraordinary culinary experiences, making every bite more enjoyable and memorable,” she reiterated.
Through Iftar meal activations and supermarket donation initiatives, Royco reaffirms its commitment to promoting healthier living and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
Impact of the ‘Share Goodness’ Initiative
In alignment with Ramadan’s values of giving and compassion, the campaign will feature donation bins at 30 select supermarkets, allowing shoppers to donate food items, which will be collected weekly and distributed to mosques in need and QR codes in-store, enabling shoppers to scan, select a mosque of their choice, and send mobile money contributions.
It will also feature curated Iftar experiences at participating mosques, featuring meals prepared with Royco’s signature seasoning to enhance flavour and nourishment. Meals served will include Katogo with Royco 2-in-1, Pilau with Royco 2-in-1, and beans with Royco cubes.

Community Endorsement and Support
Hajji Serwanga Mahmood, Imam of Masjid Mbogo Mosque, expressed his gratitude for the initiative, encouraging Ugandans to embrace the spirit of giving during this holy season.
“I call upon all people to present their prayers to Allah and have faith that He will answer them. We are grateful for Royco’s generosity in providing Iftar meals, and we pray that this initiative continues to serve Ugandans in the years to come.”
Encouraging Nationwide Participation
Royco invites everyone to participate in the ‘Share Goodness’ initiative by donating through supermarket collection points or contributing via mobile money. The campaign’s grand finale will feature a special charity event where all collected donations will be matched by Royco to support the needy during Eid celebrations.
“This is our way of spreading joy and sharing the blessings of Ramadan with everyone. We invite all Ugandans to join us in this journey of generosity and community spirit,” Nandawula concluded.
