Uganda’s Premier Meats and Music Festival returns to Jinja this July with the 21st Edition, according to organizers- Swangz Avenue.

The highly anticipated #RoastAndRhyme festival with its distinctive #NyamOnTheNile edition will take place from July 5th to 7th in the picturesque city of Jinja, along the scenic Nile River.

Roast and Rhyme is renowned for its unique blend of music, food, and socializing, set in beautiful outdoor environments.

Over the years, it has become a staple in Uganda’s social calendar, celebrated for its quality production and the memorable experiences it offers to attendees.

Friday, 5th July – The festivities will kick off at Living Waters Resort in Jinja with an exhilarating “Night Club in the Woods” experience. Top DJs will keep the party alive until dawn, providing a thrilling start to the weekend.

Saturday, 6th July – This day will offer adventure and entertainment. Revellers can participate in adrenaline-pumping activities such as bungee jumping, zip-lining, quad biking, horse riding, and a boat cruise on the majestic Nile. As the sun sets, the main event will begin at Across the Nile Resort, featuring games, meat roasting, and live music performances by some of Uganda’s best performers and top DJs, continuing into the early morning hours.

Sunday, 7th July – The weekend will conclude with an all-white Sunday service brunch at Living Waters Resort. Attendees will enjoy free food, free cocktails, and live music performances set against the stunning backdrop of the Nile River. The dress code for Sunday is strictly all-white, adding an elegant and unified visual theme to the serene and festive end of the three-day event.

New Venues: This year’s Nyam On The Nile edition introduces two new venues located on the Njeru side of Nalubale Road. These venues offer scenic views and a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for the festival’s blend of music and adventure.

Living Waters Resort – Positioned approximately 1.5 km along Nalubale Road, this resort provides a beautiful riverside setting for the opening night and the Sunday brunch.

Across the Nile Resort – Situated about 1 km from the roundabout on Nalubale Road, this venue will host Saturday’s main event, offering ample space for games, meat roasting, and live performances.

Directions: When coming from Kampala, before crossing the main bridge, take a right turn at the roundabout onto Nalubale Road. Continue for about 1 km to reach the Nile Resort and about 1.5 km to reach Living Waters Resort.

Experience Jinja: Jinja, often referred to as the adventure capital of Uganda, provides the perfect backdrop for Nyam On The Nile. Nestled along the Nile, Jinja is known for its breathtaking scenery and vibrant culture. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore this iconic location’s natural beauty and adventurous spirit, making for an unforgettable weekend.

#RoastAndRhyme Experience: The festival is synonymous with great music and delicious food. Revellers will indulge in various grilled meats and other delicacies, accompanied by live performances from top Ugandan artists. The combination of mouth-watering food and captivating music by the riverside creates a truly unique and immersive experience.

Tickets (all weekend pass) will go for UGX 150,000 (Early Bird) and UGX 200,000 (at the Gate) while a Single Day Pass will go for UGX 100,000.

Tickets are available through the FlexiPay App or via mobile money by dialling *291#.

Swangz Avenue, the event organizer, promises an unforgettable experience in Jinja, continuing the tradition of excellence that has defined Roast and Rhyme over the years.
