Radio legend Alex Ndawula alias Ndaula has died.
This was announced Monday evening by Patricia Osman, the producer of The Capital Gang on Capital FM.
“Let the Angels receive your soul dear ALEX NDAULA. Radio legend. RIP,” tweeted Osman, the English news anchor at Capital Radio.
Osman did not give details of the tragic loss but reports say he died at Nsambya Hospital on Monday.

One of the most famous Capital FM DJs Ndawula, retired from radio in 2017.
He left capital FM after more than 20 years of service.
He joined in 1994 and at the time of retirement, he was the Deputy Programs Director/Senior presenter at Capital Radio.
Back in the day, he was popular for his programmes ‘Dance Force’ and ‘Sundowner’.
Preliminary reports say Ndawula had kidney complications and has been hospitalized since January this year.

Born in New York City, United States in 1963, his family later relocated to Uganda.
He studied at St Mary’s College Kisubi, Namasagali and Nakawa Technical Institute where he did marketing.
His radio career begun at Sanyu FM in 1993 with the late Allan Mugisa aka Allan The Cantakerous and Christine Mawadri.
From Sanyu, he joined Capital FM in 1994.
