The Electoral Commission (EC) has released the official campaign schedule for all presidential candidates contesting in Uganda’s 2025/2026 General Elections, outlining when and where rallies will be held across the country.
The campaign period kicks off on September 29, 2025, with candidates traversing various districts simultaneously. Among the first-day venues are Munyonzo, Mityana, Jinja, Buikwe, and Kawempe, with leading contenders including Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa Kaguta (NRM), Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu (NUP), Mugisha Muntu (ANT), Nandala Mafabi (FDC), and others addressing supporters.
Over 100 districts and municipalities are scheduled to host campaign rallies between September 29, 2025, and January 12, 2026, with each candidate assigned specific locations daily to avoid clashes and ensure nationwide coverage.
Key urban centres like Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, Gulu, Arua, Fort Portal, Masaka, and Mbale will feature prominently, especially in the closing weeks of the campaign season leading up to polling day.
The EC emphasised that this harmonised schedule seeks to provide equal access, security coordination, and orderly conduct of campaigns as the country prepares for a highly competitive presidential race.
The full campaign program is available on the Electoral Commission’s official website and social media platforms, with updates expected throughout the campaign period.
