President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has made changes in his cabinet.
The President Thursday, 21, appointed General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the former CDF as the new State Minister for Trade, replacing Harriet Nzabazi, who has been appointed as a senior Presidential Advisor.
Museveni also dropped the Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Mary Goretti Kitutu, and replaced her with Peter Lokeris.
He also dropped Agnes Nandutu, as the State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, she has been replaced by Sironko Woman MP, Hon Florence Wamala Nambozo.
In the same reshuffle music and events promoter, Balaam Barugahare, has been appointed State Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
Kitgum District Woman MP, Lilian Aber, and Principal Private Secretary, Kenneth Omona, have also been appointed ministers in the new cabinet.
Aber will serve as Minister of State Office of the Prime Minister in charge of Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees while Omona takes over the docket of Minister of State, Office of the Prime Minister Northern Uganda.
The president has also appointed Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke as the new State Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs.
Vincent Bamulanzeki Ssempijja has been replaced by Markson Oboth Jacob, as the Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs. Ssempijja has been appointed a Senior Presidential Advisor.
Museveni retained, Robinah Nabbanja as the Prime Minister, and Rebecca Kadaga, as the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs, he also retained Gen Moses Ali as 2nd Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business in Parliament.
