PostBank Uganda has announced the appointment of Mr. Martin Mugisha as Executive Director Operations, a move that reinforces the bank’s leadership team amid its rapid growth and evolving strategic direction.
Until his recent appointment, Mr. Mugisha served as the Chief Credit Officer at PostBank Uganda. With over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, Mr. Mugisha has worked with several local and regional financial institutions, building a solid reputation in risk management, credit operations, and business origination.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Andrew Owiny, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in the new Executive Director, saying: “Martin’s leadership and proven track record in Risk Management will go a long way to elevate the bank as we navigate evolving market dynamics and pursue sustainable success.”
PostBank Uganda’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Julius Kakeeto, welcomed the development, noting that Mr. Mugisha’s expertise would be pivotal in the bank’s ongoing transformation.
“Martin’s extensive experience in Business origination and Risk Management positions him to steer critical areas of the Bank as we accelerate PostBank’s growth ambitions and its Purpose of Fostering Prosperity,” Kakeeto said.
The appointment comes when PostBank has seen significant expansion in its operations. The addition of another Executive Director at the Board level reflects the bank’s response to growing operational demands and its commitment to building a robust leadership structure to support sustainable growth.
