King Kong rose to fame about 4 years ago when he ventured into sketch comedy. But it was his dramatic performances and remarkable talent in dancing that earned him quick recognition both in Uganda and beyond.

Videos of him pulling off comic laced dance strokes quickly went viral on social media. He also featured in some music videos. Most notable of them was a promotional video of Eddy Kenzo’s ‘Maria Rosa’ which was a dance act by MC King Kong and another clown known as Seka Manala.

He was at one point a radio presenter on Galaxy FM.

King Kong’s comedy career was dragged after he got in a fatal motor accident in Kampala in December 2015 which nearly claimed his life. He sustained a serious injury on his left eye which caused him sight defects especially that was worsened by flashy lights during night performances.

Eva Mbabazi who has been MC King Kong’s manager described his death as saddening.

“Kings Kong Mc it was a great opportunity to have met and worked with you. You became a friend and a brother to me and my family,” Mbabazi posted on her Facebook.

“Our condolences go to your family relatives and friends. Uganda and the world at large will surely miss you and the talent you had Rest in enteral peace forever my dear brother,” she added.

TV personality, Andrew Kyamagero who formerly worked at Galaxy FM and hosts comedy events posted; “Am saddened to hear about the death of a friend. King Kong, you played your part, may your soul rest in peace”.
