Uganda Police have emerged overall winners of the 16th edition of Inter Forces Games 2022.
The games climaxed at the Queen Elizabeth conservation area in Kasese district on Thursday.
The Cops scooped a whooping 13 medals with 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
“We have emerged overall winners of the 16th edition of #InterForcesGames2022,” tweeted Uganda Police Football Club.
This was after edging Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) FC 1-0 to finish top on seven points.
“We beat Uganda Prisons 1-0 and drew 0-0 with UPDF FC in our previous two games.”
Uganda Prisons came second with 11 medals while Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) finished 3rd and 4th with 9 medals and 6 medals, respectively.
The Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, Vincent Ssempijja, officiated the closing event.
AIGP Charles Birungi represented the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Okoth Ochola.
@UgandaPrisons came second with 11 medals while @updf_ and @Ugandawildlife finished 3rd & 4th with 9 medals and 6 medals respectively.
