The French midfielder then fired home a powerful shot that went into the roof of the net to give his side the lead.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men took advantage of the hosts failure after Luciano Vietto blew his side’s opportunity in the first minute of the game.

Martial doubled the for the Old Trafford outfit in the 23rd minute after making a solo run and carefully putting the ball at the back of the net.

The visitors continued to press harder for more goals but all their efforts were unfruitful as the referee sounded the whistle to signal the end of the first half of the game.

Pogba, who helped France win their second FIFA World Cup in Russia last year netted his second of the game via the spot kick after Juan Mata was brought down in the danger zone.

Fulham, who are currently 19th on the log with 17 points from 26 matches made a couple of efforts at goal but none came through for them.

United have now climbed to fourth position for the first time this season with 51 points from 26 games.
